This family loves color and art. They decided to renovate and expand their main bath, leaving room for a closet, while allowing in daylight.

We focused on a cast glass counter, fabricated locally, constructed from glass layers fused in a kiln. The sink was slumped in a second kiln firing.

We contrasted the glass with yellow tile and paint, using glass tiles as accents. Red linoleum and lights play off of red in the counter.

Glass block is used elsewhere, it lightens the room at relights and the tub.

Unseen, insulation was added and lumber was reused where possible, and plumbing was upgraded.
