The owners of this home bought it from the estate of a woman who lived there from childhood. Changes were made over time, and now it was time for more updates.

We opened the dark kitchen and bedroom to each other and the yard, creating a light-filled kitchen and cozy den. We added large south facing wood windows, and installed smaller windows facing neighbors, increasing sunlight and privacy. Details, like the arches, match details in the house.

Opened areas were insulated, electrical was upgraded, and bamboo floors and useful cabinets and appliances were installed. Eventually, after completing the interior, the owners recycled the aluminum siding, insulated the home, and installed durable composite siding.
